The Center has asked all ministries to prepare their annual report cards with actual figures. The annual reports of the ministries will be circulated to the Members of Parliament (MPs) in the next year’s budget session.

An office memorandum of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs said that the annual report should reflect the actual figures for the period January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and provide estimates or estimates for the period January-March, 2022.

“For any reason, the supply of annual reports to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariats, Press Information Bureau, etc., should not be delayed, under the assumption that these reports should contain genuine data by March 31, 2022,” it said.

The Office Memorandum further states that the ‘Demand for Grants’ is required to be made available to the Members of Parliament together with an annual report before the respective Department is referred to the respective Standing Committees for their consideration.

Ministries are asked to submit annual reports to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha secretariats. Ministries are also asked to submit annual reports to the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

“All Ministries/Departments are requested to kindly ensure strict compliance of the above instructions,” it said.

The Ministries are requested to prepare their Annual Report for the year 2021-22 in both Hindi and English versions as per the Official Languages Act, 1963.
