Kritika and Tarini, daughters of CDS General Bipin Rawat and Madhulika Rawat, immersed the ashes of their parents in the Ganges in Haridwar today. Both the daughters collected the ashes of their parents from Berar Square crematorium in Delhi Cantonment this morning. The ashes of CDS Rawat and Madhulika were kept in a vase and tied with red cloth. The daughters bowed to the ashes of their parents with moist eyes. After this she left for Haridwar with the ashes.

The country’s first Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, along with his wife, got absorbed in the divine on Thursday. With state honors, General Rawat and his wife Madhulika were lit on the same pyre by both the daughters together at 4:56 pm in Delhi Cantt.

State governments have become strict about those who made objectionable remarks against CDS Rawat and other soldiers who lost their lives in the chopper crash. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted and said that strict action will be taken against such people.

CM Dhami tweeted, “If any mischievous element, showing ill-tempered mentality, makes any objectionable remarks on the departed soldiers on social media or in any other form, then our government will take the strictest punitive action against him under the law. For us. The respect of the soldiers is above all. Late General Bipin Rawat will always be the pride of Uttarakhand.”

At the same time, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has condemned the objectionable posts on social media on the death of soldiers in the accident. He said, “After the death of CDS Rawat in the chopper crash, some perverted mentality people have made irresponsible tweets. There is a kind of happiness expressed on this tragedy. We strongly condemn it. Those who said such things. Action will be taken by registering a case against them. Such people should be punished.”

14 people were in the helicopter, 13 died
The country’s first Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday. Apart from his wife Madhulika, 13 army personnel and officers were on board in this helicopter.

Brigadier LS Lidder, Lt Col Harjinder Singh, Wing Commander PS Chauhan, Squadron Leader K Singh, Naik Gursewak Singh, Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lance Naik Vivek Kumar, Lance Naik B. Sai Teja, Junior Warrant Officer Das, Junior Warrant Officer A Pradeep and Havildar Satpal were on board. The lone survivor of the helicopter crash is Group Captain Varun Singh, who is currently in critical condition and is undergoing treatment in Bengaluru.
