CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2022: Know the marks required to pass the two term exam

With the end of Term 2 board exams, central board of secondary education (CBSE) is now gearing up to declare the result on time. The board has already finished the class 10 exams and the class 12 papers are about to end on June 15. this year bOrd introduced the two-term formula For class 10 and 12 board examinations in which the academic year was divided into two terms, each comprising 50 per cent of the syllabus. The new method was introduced to address the challenges of a possible COVID-19 outbreak. term 1 result has already been announced. The board will now declare the final result based on the average of term 1 and term 2.

Even though the final result consists of Term 1, Term 2 and Internal Assessment, students have to clear the exam in aggregate. CBSE did not fail anyone in Term 1 result. Everyone, regardless of their score, was allowed to take the Term 2 exam. Now, the final result will be based on Term 1, Term 2 and Internal Assessment Score. Though the exact weightage of each part is not known, students still need to score 33 per cent marks to pass a subject.

To be declared passed in CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, a candidate needs to secure a minimum of 33 percent marks in each subject. In the subjects which have practical aspects, candidates will have to clear the theory and practical papers separately.

Last year, CBSE was forced to cancel the physical exam for classes 10 and 12 due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost all the students were promoted to the next grade on the basis of an alternative formula of evaluation. The board recorded an almost perfect pass percentage of 99.37 in class 12, while 99.04 per cent students passed the class 10 exam.

In 2020, CBSE had recorded a pass percentage of 91.46 in class 10 and 99.37 in class 12 results

Out of the total students who appeared in Class 12 CBSE exams in 2019, 83.4 percent secured passing marks. The performance of Class 10 results of 2019 was much better with a pass percentage of 91.1 percent.
