CBSE 10th, 12th Final Result Formula: CISCE gives equal weightage to both the conditions, will CBSE do the same?

Finally, we have the final result calculation formula. CBSE And CISCE for the first time this year conducted the board exam in two term. While announcing that the exam will be divided into two parts, neither CBSE nor CISCE had shared the exact result calculation formula. now Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is announcing its final results which includes both semester 1, semester 2 and internal assessment marks.

For the calculation of ICSE results, CISCE has given equal weightage to both Semester 1 and Semester 2 board exams. In Punjab Board results also, PSEB while computing its final results gave 40 per cent weightage to each of the two terms and 20 per cent weightage to internal assessment. CBSE too had earlier said that term 1 and term 2 would get equal weightage, however, there has been protests against it due to allegations of cheating.

Further, CISCE has said that it will mark as absent those students who have completely missed either of the two words. It was mandatory for the students to appear for both Semester 1 and Semester 2 exams. However, CBSE has announced that it will declare the result for student who missed either position,

Even though both CBSE and CISCE are calculating the results on the same formula, with these minor differences it can be expected that CBSE may have its own result formula. The same will be announced along with its results. CBSE 12th result is expected to be declared before 10th and by 20th July.

Almost all the boards have declared their results and CBSE is the last among them. The delay has been due to the debate around the result formula calculation. After reports of schools helping students during class 1 results surfaced, it was sought to be given less weightage and term 2 and internal assessment more weightage. Now the students are also demanding that they be given Result based on ‘Either one’ or ‘Internal Assessment’, The final decision from the board on this is awaited.
