Delhi Police has registered a case against a JNU student for allegedly molesting a fellow student. An official gave this information on Sunday. Delhi Police said in a tweet on Sunday that a case has been registered on the complaint of a third year student of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

“A case under section 354A/509 has been registered under IPC at PS Vasantkunj North following a complaint of molestation of a third year student of JNU. The accused, who is his known classmate, has joined the investigation. Further investigation is on,” it tweeted. all India The Students’ Union (AISA) on Sunday said that the accused was not affiliated to them.

This comes a day after an AISA activist was accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the JNU campus. On Saturday, AISA had said that the complaint against sexual harassment had been referred to its gender sensitization committee for investigation and the worker in question was asked not to participate in organizational activities.

“The accused continued this heinous act by inappropriately touching her without her consent and by forcefully holding her from behind,” a group of women claiming to be JNU students said in a statement. “Survivor is also being told about conspiracies to denigrate and defame through classmates and grapes his credibility,” his statement further read.
