A very surprising case has come to the fore in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Here a case has been registered against the Sub Inspector of Railways for playing music in loud voice during Ajan.

Sub Inspector Kishor Malkunaik lives in Amritsai Plaza Society of Aurangabad. It was his wife’s birthday on Sunday and they were partying at their house around 7 pm. It is alleged that during this time azaan started in the mosque adjacent to his house and Kishore continued to play his song in loud voice. He deliberately placed his Bluetooth speaker in front of his window.

Giving clarification in this matter, the accused sub-inspector said, “Suddenly on April 23, around 8.30 pm, the police came, at that time we were having a party in our house. Imagine how much noise a bluetooth speaker would make?

Case filed against sub-inspector after rigorous investigation
Local residents Sheikh Shafiq, Sheikh Shabbir, Imran Khan, Mudassir Ansari and others called up the control room of the Satara police station and lodged a complaint against Kishor Malkunaik. After this Inspector Surendra Malale, Sub-Inspector along with his team reached the spot and stopped the party and started investigation in the matter. A police team reached outside the Safa Masjid in the Silk Mill area to find out whether the sound could really be coming from the teenager’s house. After thorough investigation, a case was registered against the sub-inspector.

Angered by this incident, BJP leaders reached Satara police station on Tuesday and created a ruckus demanding cancellation of the case.

Bluetooth speaker placed on the window was also recovered
Police have found a Bluetooth speaker placed on the window of Malkunaik’s bedroom. After questioning, Malkunaik admitted to playing music. The police have registered a case against Malkunaik under sections 505 (b), (c) of the IPC and section 135 of the Maharashtra Police, allegedly by seizing the speaker.

If proven guilty, can be jailed for three years
Sub-Inspector Karale of Satara police station is investigating the matter. If convicted, Malkunaik could face up to three years in prison. Malkunaik is currently trying to apply for bail in the local court.
After registering the case, the police brought the Malkunaik couple to the police station and kept on interrogating them till one o’clock in the night.

There is a bigger conspiracy behind this: Accused
Kishor Malkunaik further alleged, ‘We have been living in this society for a long time. Many Muslims live nearby and we have never had any dispute. Still, if I play music in my house, controversy arises… it is unacceptable. There is indeed a big conspiracy behind this!’ He said that he never played loudspeaker in front of the mosque during the azaan even though the police have registered a case against him for doing so.

Police trying its best to maintain peace: Commissioner

The police administration is trying its best to keep the situation in the city peaceful after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray warned against azaan ban across the state. City CP Dr. Nikhil Gupta said that whoever tries to disturb the peace in the city will not be spared. He said that the policy of the police administration is clear. We want to maintain peace in the city. Anyone who tries to disturb the peace in the city will be dealt with strictly by the police.
