According to the information, an IAS officer gets more than one lakh rupees as salary every month including basic salary and allowances. If and when an officer gets the post of cabinet secretary then he gets 2.5 lakh rupees per month as salary. The officer appointed at this level gets the highest salary in this category.
There are different pay scales for different IAS officers which include Junior Scale, Senior Scale, Super Time Scale and many more. Apart from basic pay and grade pay, an IAS officer also gets Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance and Conveyance Allowance.
Officers also get facilities including house, cook and other staff based on pay scale and seniority. The officers also get a vehicle along with a driver.
