New Delhi: Denis Alipov, a career diplomat and a “dedicated India expert” with decades-long experience in the country, has been appointed as the new Russian Ambassador to India, the Russian Embassy here said on Tuesday.
Alipov will soon replace Nikolay Kudashev.
The Russian Embassy tweeted, “Denis Alipov, a career diplomat with decades-long experience in this country and a dedicated #India expert, has been appointed as the new Russian Ambassador to India.”

He will soon replace Ambassador Nikolay Kudashev.
Last month, the summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin was held here.
At the summit, India and Russia had signed 28 agreements to further broaden their partnership and vowed to expand cooperation and coordination in tackling major challenges such as the menace of terrorism.
