How Corporates Work Paramilitary forces like CRPF, BSF, ITBP and other paramilitary forces will soon be able to apply for grants and records on an online portal, moving away from a lengthy offline process.

With the system going digital following the Home Ministry’s directive last year to create a facility for online leave applications, it will soon be much easier for personnel in all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to apply and keep track of leaves. According to an official communication from CRPF, the online leave application system will significantly reduce the time taken to complete the approval cycle. It is also expected to reduce leave complaints by allowing more transparency.

It also helps in managing and planning leaves of personnel during elections and other works and maintaining operational efficiency through real-time monitoring.

Earlier, the balance leave of a CAPF employee could only be checked through the service book. If an employee was not on duty and needed leave in emergency situations, the only way to check their remaining leaves was through the office where service records are maintained. This process used to take several days which caused inconvenience to the personnel. The paperwork and approval process also came in the way of maintaining transparency.

With the new system, the service record of an employee will be available at the click of a button, where upon approval by the superiors, the leave details will be updated automatically. Personnel can also remotely track their leave details.

The official said that the system would collate unit-wise data to sectors, which would help top officials to reorganize army numbers as and when required for any duty.
