Canon has expanded its RF lens lineup with the launch of the L308 ultra-wide angle zoom lens. The new lens joins the f/4L trinity of RF lenses – the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and RF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lenses.
The L308 has a 14-35mm focal range, 0.38x magnification at 35mm and is designed for the company’s full frame mirrorless cameras.
The company claims that the L308 is suitable for indoor, outdoor landscape or architecture. The lens also features a short back focus design which allows it to shoot with a minimum focusing distance of around 0.3m.
The L308 is the first RF lens to cover an ultra-wide-angle range of 14mm with an optical image stabilizer with a CIPA standard of approximately 5.5 stops.
