Rajkot: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) will organize Amrut Samadhan Camp on August 27 in Ahmedabad for the applicants from across the state to sort out the issues of pending passport applications. According to a statement issued by the RPO, those who have applied for a passport between January 1 and June 30 and their application is pending can attend the camp. Those who have submitted the application at Rajkot Passport Seva Kendra will be heard between 10 am and 1 pm on August 27 while those who have submitted applications at Ahmedabad and Vadodara will be heard between 2pm and 5pm. Applicants have been asked to come with the required documents and photo ID.
Three killed as motorcycle hits parked truck
Surendranagar: Three men were killed after their motorcycle rammed into a stationary truck from behind in Surendranagar district on Monday, police said. The accident took place around 4 am near Kadu village on Surendranagar-Viramgam state highway, an official from Lakhtar police station said. The three persons were going to work in a factory located in the area, he said. “Their speeding motorcycle rammed into the truck. The three men died on the spot,” the official said. PTI
