Tight fight between BJP and TMC in Asansol
In Asansol, Shatrughan Sinha is currently ahead in a close fight between BJP and TMC. On the other hand, BJP’s Agnimitra Paul is now behind. Sometime back Paul was leading over Shatrughan Sinha. Whereas in Ballygunge, Babul is leading while Keya Ghosh is trailing.

Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh) by-election: Yashoda Verma of Congress vs. Komal Jangle of BJP
The fate of 10 candidates is to be decided in Khairagarh assembly constituency of Chhattisgarh. In November last year, after the death of JCC(J) MLA and former MP Devvrat Singh, the by-election had to be held. The JCC (J) has fielded a lawyer and son-in-law Narendra Soni, a former MLA from Khairagarh, while the BJP has fielded former MLA Komal Jangle. Congress’s Khairagarh block unit president Yashoda Verma is the candidate from the ruling party.

RJD vs VIP vs BJP in Bihar’s Bechahan
The by-election was held on this seat due to the death of MLA Musafir Paswan, who won on Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) ticket. The deceased MLA’s son Amar was in the fray as an RJD candidate while VIP has fielded Geeta Devi, whose father Ramai Ram was the RJD candidate in the 2020 assembly elections. The BJP had fielded Baby Kumari.
