Apart from the nostalgia, the trailer of ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ has grabbed the attention of the audience with its new Babli, Sharvari. It featured the actress wearing a sexy metallic bikini and walking across the frame leaving behind the waves, which reminded the audience of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ beach look from ‘Dostana’. The actress had a Priyanka Chopra moment when she wore a metallic bikini on the Abu Dhabi beach and stunned the crew with her look.
Talking about the same, Sharvari said: “The day I shot this scene, I was the happiest person on the sets. Growing up, Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Dostana’ saw the joy of stepping out to sea in her golden bikini. The image was etched in my mind. She is the mother-in-law and the queen of cool, she looked drop-dead gorgeous.
“Ever since I decided to become an actor, I have secretly wished that a sequence like that be shot on me. And it’s a really lovely coincidence that the script of ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ has my seas in me. There was a sequence to come out. In a fabulous bikini. I couldn’t believe it.”
For him, the special day of shooting was all about thrill and excitement. She revealed: “So, on the day of shooting, I was thrilled and confident to complete it. I was in good shape and I had the best crew to shoot it. I was watching my wish come true.
“I hope I nailed the scene well because someone like Priyanka Chopra pulled it off perfectly and set the benchmark for how to do a great bikini sequence with so much oomph.”
‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ is the sequel to the memorable rib-tickling comedy, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, which gave the audience a sumptuous treat of comedy and con job. The sequel features two set con artists pitted against each other as they try to get an edge over each other in a cat-and-mouse chase.
whereas Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji play the role of Ozzy Bunty and Babli respectively, the new Bunty and Babli being played by ‘Gully Boy’ fame actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari.
Directed by Varun V. Sharma and produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ is all set to hit the theaters on November 19.
