Bulldozers demolish encroachment at home of ‘BJP worker’ who assaulted woman at Noida society

Authorities have started removal of encroachment at the house of BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi, the so-called BJP worker who allegedly abused and assaulted a woman at a housing society in Noida last week.

Bulldozers, accompanied by teams of Noida Police, rolled in outside Grand Omaxe in Noida’s Sector 93, where Shrikant Tyagi had abused and assaulted a woman after she reportedly confronted him about encroachment by him.

Shrikant Tyagi, who is absconding, was booked under Indian Penal Code section 354 (assault or use of criminal force on any woman, intending to outrage or knowing it to be likely that he will thereby outrage her modesty) on Friday over a spat with a co-resident of their housing society in Noida’s Sector 93B.

Noida Police later slapped the Gangster Act on Shrikant Tyagi, under which his properties can be attached and demolished.
