Police force sought by writing letter to DCP
President of South MCD Governor Singh said that MCD is preparing to conduct anti-encroachment drive in many parts of South Delhi. For this, the help of the police force has been sought by writing a letter to the DCP.

President of South MCD said- We had made a plane 12-13 days ago to demolish the illegal construction. In which security was a big issue. A meeting was held with the police officers regarding this. We will start with the shooting range.

He said that there is no need to give notice for illegal construction and removal of encroachment. There is a plan to completely free the people who have blocked the road by occupying the government land of Karan Singh Stadium Road.

Earlier there was stone pelting and violence during Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri. After the violence, the MCD and the administration became strict. On April 20, the administration ran a bulldozer on illegal constructions. The civic body had deployed 400 personnel from Delhi Police to maintain law and order during the operation. However, the Supreme Court stayed the proceedings by holding a hearing on the same day. Instructions have been given to maintain status quo till the next hearing.
