Buddhadev could not vote again, former chief minister’s tone of regret

Former Chief Minister of the state Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee could not cast his vote again due to physical illness. The former chief minister could not cast his vote for a total of four times. He is currently lying on the bed, unable to see properly. Most of the time he has to be given oxygen. The former chief minister is sorry for not being able to exercise his civil rights even after making regular inquiries about the vote. However, his wife Meera Bhattacharya and their daughter Suchetana Bhattacharya cast their vote at the Pathbhavan High School booth. Mira Bhattacharya’s voice could be heard lamenting that Buddhababu could not vote. “Buddhababu is physically ill but still mentally strong,” he said.

The former Chief Minister could not cast his vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha due to physical illness. Voting could not even take place in the Ekushi assembly. He did not get the vote of the Calcutta Municipality. A few days ago, CPI(M) candidate from Ballygunge center Saira Shah Halim had gone to meet him at his house. Buddha and his wife have blessed Saira together.

According to family sources, the former chief minister is now completely bedridden. You can’t even get up in bed properly. The biggest problem is that he has now had macular degeneration. This condition usually causes dryness of the retina of the eye. As a result, the patient is unable to see properly. Buddha Babar finds it difficult to watch TV and even read newspapers. So his wife used to read him newspapers from time to time. However, despite the physical illness, his head is still clean, said Meera Bhattacharya. He is also in regular phone contact with the team.
