BTS RM aka Kim Namjoon has been hitting headlines since the release of his solo album Indigo last year. The album was released on December 2nd and RM is breaking records on every platform. Now the BTS leader is again in the news and this time the reason is his Instagram account. Kim Namjoon suddenly deleted over 100 Instagram posts on Monday, leaving fans confused and worried. As RM’s posts went from 130 to 12 in a matter of minutes, fans went into a mini meltdown. Of the 12 posts left on his Instagram feed, 10 are related to the rapper’s solo album Indigo.
BTS RM’s last post was about The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge, the show he co-hosts with director Jang Hang Joon. He shared it two weeks ago on January 27. However, hours after deleting the old post, RM treated fans. Some new pictures. Captioned as ‘Hi’, he shared a collection of new paintings and photos with friends.
As soon as Namjoon deleted the posts, the BTS ARMY caused confusion on Twitter and asked him the reason. One Twitter user wrote, “The loss. Unspeakable. All those posts, all those trips to museums, all those pieces of art.. Well, they were never ours in the first place, but for them to keep and cherish. You must take care of your loved ones.” There are reasons, Namjoon.” “One day you think they dance well and the next you’re crying because Namjoon removed a sequence of 117 conceptual photos of tourism, museums and fun from his Instagram,” tweeted another.
Many fans also supported BTS RM as he deleted the posts. One user said, “Namjoon literally archived her twenties (or deleted her IG pics for good, we’ll never know). I go to her feed because it has healing properties and I love those things.” Grateful for what he shares. Now, his song No. 2 comes to mind, “No More Looking Back”. You do you, Namjoon.
Kim Namjoon isn’t the only one who took the internet by storm by deleting her Instagram posts. Last year, Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, also left fans worried and shocked after he deleted all photos from his Instagram. He later revealed the reason during a VLIVE and said that he wanted to change the style and aesthetic of his social media, so he deleted the old posts.
Jungkook said, “Why did I delete all Instagram feeds? There’s no reason. I just didn’t like the vibes/feed settings, so I thought about doing it again. There was something about it that I did not do.” do not like it. I didn’t even know it was time for restoration.”
