During the rally of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal in Moga’s Anaj Mandi, there has been a fierce clash between the police and the farmers. Brick-stones have broken out on both sides, due to which a dozen vehicles have been broken and half a dozen farmers and police personnel have been injured. The police have also taken some farmers into custody. These farmers had arrived to gherao Shiromani Akali Dal Badal President Sukhbir Singh Badal and wanted to go to the rally. But they were stopped on the way. After which there was a clash between the police and the farmers.

Farmers started gathering on Firozpur Road since Thursday morning. The farmers were stopped by the police by putting a beret in front of the grain market. The farmers also tried to break the barricade, but the police stopped them. As soon as Sukhbir Singh Badal started addressing from the stage, the farmers started pelting stones on the vehicles of Bahujan Samaj Party and Shiromani Akali Dal parked on the road.

Meanwhile, when the police used water cannons, the farmers started pelting stones on the police too. On this the police had to use mild lathi force. Meanwhile, half a dozen farmers and police personnel have been injured along with a dozen vehicles breaking down.

Makhan Brar declared candidate during Moga rally
Barjinder Singh Makhan Brar has been declared the SAD candidate from Moga on behalf of the SAD chief. Barjinder Singh Makhan Brar has contested the 2017 elections from here and had to face defeat. Now he will again be the candidate of the party. During the rally, Sukhbir Badal has said that SAD is the only party which does not get any orders from anywhere. Whereas Congress and Aam Aadmi Party get orders from above. As soon as the government is formed, we will work for the betterment of farmers as well as other people. All work will be made online within a year.

After Moga, there will also be rallies in Dharamkot assembly
SAD Pradhan is visiting Vidhan Sabha constituencies on his 100-day tour. Meanwhile, Moga and Dharamkot have reached. His first rally has been held in Moga’s Anaj Mandi and after that three functions are to be held in Dharamkot’s Vidhan Sabha constituency. Now he is holding a meeting at the residence of Jathedar Tota Singh, after which he will have darshan at Baba Hazur Sahib in Dharamkot. Meeting at Fatehgarh Panjtur at 3 pm, Walia Palace Kot Ise Khan will address the meeting at 4.30 pm.
