He further said that he borrowed money from his friends and relatives and sent Naveen to Ukraine for MBBS studies.

Holding the politicians responsible for the poor education system, he appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to see that quality higher education is provided at the lowest cost of education even in private institutions.

The heartbroken father said, “At least from now on some efforts should be made in this direction.”

Replying to a question, he said BJP MP from Haveri Shivkumar Udasi had given him “like others” assurances, but there was no proper response from his side.

He said that the parents, whose children are stuck in Ukraine for the last one week, are meeting the MPs, MLAs, Ministers to make arrangements for the safe return of the students.

He claimed that all of them tried to bring them back to the safe zone on the border, but not those who were in the risk zone.

Speaking about the response from the Indian embassy, ​​he said, “We did not receive any call from the Indian embassy. No one in the embassy received calls from our children. They gave phone numbers but there was no response.

He appealed to the officials of the Ministry of External Affairs to make some efforts to bring back other students to our country.
