breaking | NCB’s Sameer Wankhede meets Mumbai Police Commissioner amidst probe into drugs case

Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede on Tuesday met Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale, which is under investigation in the high-profile drug-on-cruise case, involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

According to sources, the meeting between the two officials lasted for about 25 minutes.

Wankhede was called in connection with the investigation related to the cast certificate.

Earlier this month, Wankhede was taken out of the investigation in the sensational cruise ship party raid of October 2 in which Aryan Khan was arrested.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) consisting of officers from the Operations Wing of NCB Headquarters has been constituted to take a total of six cases from the NCB Mumbai Regional Unit for a thorough probe to unearth the back and forth links.

Wankhede has been in the line of fire for several charges including corruption, fake caste certificates, a lavish lifestyle, and comparatively negligible drug seizures, especially from Bollywood and the glamor industry, etc.

(This is a developing story. More details are awaited.)
