MumbaiIn a money laundering case, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned actress-dancer Nora Fatehi for questioning. He will be questioned in connection with the money laundering probe against jailed Sukesh Chandrasekhar in an alleged extortion case.
The ED has also summoned Jacqueline Fernandez, who in August 2021 recorded her statement with the authorities under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Jacqueline has been summoned to appear before the ED officials on Friday (October 15).
Who is Sukesh Chandrashekhar?
According to an IANS report, 15 FIRs are registered against Chandrashekhar. The 27-year-old has been accused of duping people in Chennai and Bengaluru of several crores to live a lavish lifestyle.
The ED had ‘confiscated’ a seafront bungalow and several luxury cars in Chennai in the money laundering case registered against it. Chandrashekhar is also accused of running an extortion racket from inside Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
Chandrashekhar, who introduced a relative of a politician, allegedly duped over 100 people. He bought luxurious cars with his foreign money.
He claimed that he is the son of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and was even portrayed as the nephew of late Andhra Chief Minister YSR Reddy.
In the case of Kerala Kochi, Sukesh had promised Emmanuel Silks to bring Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif for a promotional event. He had also taken 20 lakh rupees from them. However, he brought Telugu superstar Allu Arjun for the inauguration of the showroom in Kottayam.
