Lucknow: The ATS has sealed the Kakori area of Lucknow on the information about the hiding of terrorists inside a house. Bomb squad has also reached the spot after the ATS received information about the pressure cooker bomb being kept inside the house.
Though there is no official confirmation, the ATS has sealed the area and no one is being allowed to enter the street. Nearby houses have also been evacuated as part of security measures and further investigation is on.
The ATS has also sealed some quantity of explosives from the terrorists and one of the arrested terrorist is suspected to be involved in the Jammu blast.
According to sources, the ATS has detained two al-Qaeda terrorists. It is being said that the operators of these terrorists are from Pakistan.
The sources further revealed that these terrorists are being interrogated and a search operation is on to confirm whether the terrorists are hiding elsewhere.
UP Police has stopped the traffic to enter the lane and barricaded the area till the search operation continues.
Significantly, Kakori is a densely populated area of Lucknow and such an incident has created fear among the local people.
As per the latest inputs, UP ADG Law and Order will hold a press conference today at 5 pm and will give more details about the operation.
