New Delhi: Hollywood star Brad Pitt allowed an elderly neighbor to rent his Los Angeles mansion.

The story was revealed by ‘Elvira: Mistress of the Dark’ star Cassandra Peterson, who sold the original home to Brad. “I think there were about 22 houses on the edge of the property. And every time they came by, he bought one,” she told People.com.

“He was a very kind husband. His wife passed away and husband John lived there. I know Brad allowed him to live there without paying him anything until he died. It was kind of funny because John lived to be 105.” Cassandra joked, “I think Brad was thinking well, you know, he can stay there until he dies, which could be any time now.”

The actress became Brad’s neighbor by buying another house nearby after selling the original property and told the publication that they often enjoyed friendly chats and that she once nearly fainted when she saw him working shirtless in his garage.

He lived there with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their children before the couple split in 2016. He bought four surrounding properties to build his estate, which had a skate park, tennis courts, a pond, and several swimming pools.
