BPL 2024: Bangladeshi All-Rounder And Skipper Has Been Diagnosed With This Issue

Shakib Al Hasan has been reported with an eye issue before their third match tomorrow of BPL 2024 against the current table toppers side, Khulna Tigers.

The Bangladeshi all-rounder was complaining about an issue in the left eye. After assessments done in Bangladesh and Singapore, those tests confirmed that Hasan is suffering from extrafoveal Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSR) of the left eye.

But this eye condition will not stop Shakib from playing any form of cricket. Hasan is set to play the BPL 2024 match tomorrow. The all-rounder was complaining about the issue in the left eye earlier.

Now a conservative approach will be adopted for this eye issue of Shakib Al Hasan. Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSR) is an issue which affects the retina and because of that the vision is disturbed.

The medical team of Bangladesh Cricket Board is positive that the all-rounder will come out of it and he also went to Singapore for a consultation from an eye doctor, ophthalmologist last week.

But as of now, the eye doctors have been only able to tell in which condition the eye issue of Shakib Al Hasan and nothing further has been commented.

Hasan played his last match in BPL 2024 on January 2024. That game was against Fortune Barishal. Shakib picked up two wickets in that match which his side Rangpur Riders lost. The double R’s Rangpur Riders have won one and lost one match in the BPL 2024 season.

The all-rounder bowled his first over in that losing match after two months when he recovered from an injury. During the ODI World Cup 2023 in India, the Bangladeshi all-rounder was suffering from a finger injury and that was also the reason why, the Bangla Tigers were not able to make it to the semi-finals of that fifty overs tournament.
