New Delhi: The Center has prepared a plan to promote its related sites across the country. Netaji Subhash Chandra boss Through curated tours as part of events organized to commemorate the anniversary of the formation of the Azad Hind government, officials in Ministry of Tourism said.
On 21 October 1943, Bose announced the formation of the Provisional Government of Azad Hind in occupied Singapore. He began the struggle to free India from British rule under the banner of the Provisional Government in Exile during the latter part of World War II.
The central government’s move to promote Bose-linked sites in India is the first of its kind at a national level.
An official said, “Such sites have been identified and will cover multiple routes. We have prepared curated itineraries that cover destinations associated with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Travel to promote Netaji related sites The program will be given to tour operators.”
The official said some destinations will be covered under the Buddhist circuit, which is being developed by the tourism ministry in collaboration with various central ministries and the Bihar and Uttar Pradesh governments, while others will be like itineraries for tour operators.
The Delhi-Meerut-Dalhousie-Delhi-Surat road will include the Martyrs Memorial in Meerut, the Kinance Building in Dalhousie where Netaji spent nearly seven months, Haripura in Surat, where he was elected as the President. In.
The other is the Kolkata-Nagaland-Manipur route. This would include a visit to the village of Rauzazzo which was liberated by Netaji during his campaign against the British in 1944 and made it the operational base of the INA.
A large number of INA artifacts can be found in that village.
The visit to Manipur will include Moirang, where the INA flag was unfurled in 1944.
The second route which has found a place in the plans of the Ministry is the Cuttack-Kolkata-Andaman route. This would include Netaji’s childhood home in Cuttack, his first school – Stewart School – and his high school – Ravenshaw Collegiate School.
In Kolkata, the tour will include Presidency College and Netaji Bhawan While the Andaman leg of the route would include a visit to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island in Port Blair where the INA had unfurled its flag in 1943.
The move to showcase the life of Bose is part of the government’s efforts under the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations to commemorate 75 years of Indian independence.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism organized a series of events on 21 October in India and South East Asia to commemorate the anniversary of the formation of the Azad Hind government. This included the programs of all the sites that are proposed to be part of the tourism.
Commemoration of Netaji is a continuous initiative and will culminate in a grand synthesis program on his birth anniversary on 23rd January, 2022.
