Boat remains India’s favorite true wireless earbuds brand: Here’s how it did in Q2 2021 – Times of India

boat – Domestic consumer electronics brand – has re-emerged as the market leader of Indian True Wireless Studio (TWS) market at the end of Q2 2021, according to a report by Counterpoint Research. As per the report, this is the fourth consecutive quarter in which the company has maintained its lead in the country, registering a year-on-year growth of 426%.
In the quarter, Boat accounted for 37% of the total TWS shipments in the country.
The report cited aggressive marketing, celebrity endorsements and ‘value for money’ offerings as reasons for the company’s continued growth.
According to Counterpoint Research, the boat’s Airdopes 701, Airdopes 281 Pro and Airdopes 481V2 helped the brand maintain its dominance in the Indian TWS market. “Flipkart moving inventory for its popular model Airdops 131 during its Big Saving Days sale in Q2 was another driver for its growth,” it said.
India’s TWS Market Q2 2021: Trends
Overall, the country’s TWS market witnessed 68% YoY growth during Q2 2021 and was driven by new launches in the affordable price segment with improved features.
The report also highlights that more than 40 brands have entered this market since 2020 and how many more brands including Nothing, Dizo, Micromax have recently “to grab a large part of this untapped market”. Price levels have entered.”
When it comes to price, the share of Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 price band rose to 60% in Q2 2021 as compared to 25% in the same quarter last year.
After Boat, BBK-owned brands OnePlus and Realme slipped to the second and third positions respectively in Q2 2021. These brands are said to be leveraging their existing smartphone user base to increase their presence in the TWS market.
Noise grew by 117% on a year-on-year basis and ranked fourth, while pietron Ranked fifth.
