BLS International expects higher visa demand after resumption of international flights – Times of India

MUMBAI: Visa outsourcing company BLS International on Thursday said it expects a pick-up in visa request India has decided to resume international flight services from March 27 amid a decline in COVID-19 cases. With the global travel industry opening up and a decline in COVID-19 cases, the company expects to see an increase in its visa and consular services as well as e-governance services in India and other countries, said Shikhar Agarwal, Joint Managing Director, BLS International. said in a statement.
India on Tuesday announced the resumption of regular international flights from March 27 after a gap of two years.
The country had suspended scheduled international flights with effect from March 23, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, under the air bubble arrangement, special international flights are operating between India and 37 countries since July 2020.
Agarwal said that there is going to be a lot of demand as soon as international flights start.
Globally, governments have declared the COVID-19 pandemic an endemic, therefore, globally everything is open, Agarwal noted.
The number of active Kovid cases in India has come down to 44,488 and 4,184 new cases were reported in the country on Thursday.
