A massive explosion took place in the firecracker factory of Bairagarh village in Harda district, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday noon in which 70 are injured and a few are trapped as per the latest updates. The death toll has risen to eight.
Felt a jolt like an earthquake, said people who witnessed the blast near the firecracker factory. The intensity of the explosion can be scaled by the impact it caused on the nearby shops where eyewitnesses saw the glass windows breaking and falling like an unprecedented disaster.

The injured have been taken to the nearby hospital for treatment and trapped workers are being evacuated under the operation initiated by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

There have been a series of blasts in the factory following the first explosion. The fire brigade has reached the spot for rescue and relief.
The deadly flames seem to be engulfing the factory as explosions continue one after one. The primary objective of the fire brigade is to control the fire after which trapped workers can be rescued. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has called an emergency meeting to discuss the ongoing situation, operations, and all the possible means and methods to limit the disaster.
