YG Entertainment has given a strong response to the drug allegations against BLACKPINK’s Rose.

Recently, a photo of Rose and actor Kang Dong Won with their friends sparked a series of rumors online. Some netizens claimed to see drug paraphernalia on the table with other party members in the picture, while others wondered whether Rose and Kang Dong Won were dating. The photo in question was shared by Riccardo Tisci, former chief creative officer of Burberry, on his Instagram account. Tissi has now removed the picture from her Instagram.
YG Entertainment has now addressed the rumors, saying, “We point out that the everyday rumors related to BLACKPINK’s Rose that are circulating on various online communities, social media, etc. are clearly false information. We are taking legal action against our agency for defaming and violating the artist’s human rights. We are currently monitoring those creating and spreading rumours, and will take strict legal action in future without any leniency or redress.”
Meanwhile, Blackpink’s second full-length studio album Born Pink became a huge hit. It peaked at number 1 on the Billboard 200 list in October 2022. Announcing their Born Pink tour in February, the group confirmed that they would be hitting the road and would visit Australia and Mexico. The group is also gearing up to mark their return at this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Art Festival after a four-year hiatus.
