These people were drinking alcohol mixed with cold drinks and started raising provocative slogans as soon as the crowd came out of the mosque. Violence broke out only after that.

On the condition of anonymity, a shopkeeper said that on Thursday itself, we came to know that some big planning is going on from the side of the people of the Muslim community. Whose script was being written in Halwai Jaan, Naksa Bazaar, Lohini Sarai, Cutpiece Wali Gali.

On Friday, before Friday prayers, about 50 youths wearing black clothes and blue caps reached the Chowk fountain. Here these people drank alcohol mixed with cold drinks. As soon as the worshipers came out of the mosque. These youths started shouting slogans like Nara-e-Takbir, Allah hu Akbar. After which other youths also joined them and then on seeing the number of hundreds turned into thousands.

Why did the street vendors not go to offer Namaz?
According to eyewitnesses, the fruit and vegetable vendors in front of Jama Masjid had left the mosque shortly before the prayer. Whispering was going on amongst themselves since Thursday. Something big was expected to happen. People say that some of the many shopkeepers selling vegetables in front of the mosque did not set up street vendors.

At the same time, those who set up their street vendors, they also did not buy vegetables on Friday. Only vegetables brought on Thursday were being sold on Friday. People say that some of these people did not even go to offer Namaz, while everyone used to go every Friday to offer Namaz.

More crowd than before in Friday prayers
Crowds started gathering in Saharanpur’s Jama Masjid from 12 noon on Friday. When the police came to know about the demonstration, the police force was deployed. Inside the mosque, people were talking about the arrest of Nupur Sharma. The demonstration started as soon as the prayers were over. Slogans like Nupur Sharma Murdabad, Nupur ko hanged. The police started to explain but it did not work.

Hindu organizations also came to the markets on the information of the uproar.
At around quarter to three, the people of the Hindu organization had also descended into the markets. Apart from activists of Hindu Yuva Vahini, Bhairav ​​Karni Sena and Bajrang Dal, hundreds of workers including former BJP MP Raghav Lakhanpal Sharma, city president Rakesh Jain had also reached. At first the police tried to convince them but when they did not calm down, force was used. The police have arrested 48 accused who created ruckus. Knives and other weapons have been found near some of them.

On June 8, a message with a photo of Maulana Arshad Madani, the national president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, went viral on the internet. In the message, a call for Bharat Bandh was called after Friday prayers on June 10. After 24 hours of this message, Maulana Arshad Madani denied it. He had said that he or his organization had nothing to do with Bharat Bandh. He appealed to maintain peace.
