In sharing this, Sambit Patra’s instruction was that ‘Mr Arvind Kejriwal had initially supported the agriculture bills and has now changed his stand on it.’ This video was flagged by Twitter itself for manipulation and fake news. Twitter has also added a ‘manipulated media’ tag to the video. Despite knowing the truth, Sambit Patra did not down the video and kept on misleading people after his tweet. Spreading fake news and posting manipulated content is not new on the BJP’s agenda, so it is no surprise that he did not delete his tweet. ,

Atishi further added, “Comparing the two videos, you can clearly see how the original video was edited and fabricated by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal to show the so-called appreciation of agriculture bills, in fact to point out the shortcomings. Three days later I lodged a complaint with the DCP office that a fake video has been posted and action should be taken against it. But in response to this also no FIR was registered. Apart from this, notice was sent not to Sambit Patra but to me – asking why I have lodged such complaint. He did not call Sambit Patra but me for investigation. We put all the facts and both the videos in front of the investigating officer. When Delhi Police finally reached Sambit Patra, the video was removed from his Twitter handle on the same day.
