Before the assembly elections in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the BJP has played electoral bets on Sikhs. In which achievements like the construction of Kartarpur Corridor to bringing Sikhs from Afghanistan to India have been included. BJP has tried in the past to integrate Sikhs with itself. Earlier this year, the BJP had released a 71-page booklet. The booklet, titled ‘Prime Minister Modi and his government’s special relationship with Sikhs’, was prepared. In which works like construction of Kartarpur Corridor, action in anti-Sikh riots, GST-free langar, removal of names of Sikhs from blacklist made during the era of terrorism were counted.
