Hyderabad: Criticizing Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for his remarks that “but Mahatma GandhiRequest to, Savarkari Wrote mercy petition to British”, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday alleged that BJP will announce soon Vinayak Damodar Savarkar as the ‘Father of the Nation’.
Speaking to ANI, Owaisi said: “They (BJP) are projecting distorted history. If this continues, they will remove Mahatma Gandhi and make Savarkar, who was accused of assassinating Mahatma Gandhi and who were declared participants in the investigation of Justice Jeevan Lal. He was speaking at the launch of the book ‘Veer Savarkar: The Man Who Can Prevent Partition’.
