The campaign is in line with the central leadership’s emphasis on booth level management, also emphasized during the recent state visit of party president JP Nadda.

The BJP is all set to launch its booth empowerment campaign in West Bengal, during which it will vote in homes at the booth level to understand whether the local people are benefiting from the central schemes.

The campaign is in line with the central leadership’s emphasis on booth level management, which was also emphasized during the visit of party president JP Nadda to the state.

BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh said, “We will go to every booth and ask whether they are getting the benefits of the Centre’s schemes…we will prepare this data from June 15.”

Sources said the party has decided to divide the booths into three categories. Category A includes booths where margins were close, Category B includes booths where margins were high and Category C includes booths won by the party.

Sources said that a team of 25-30 people along with MPs and MLAs will visit these houses and collect data on the benefits of the central schemes. The data will then be uploaded to the app to be analyzed by the party.

Trinamool Congress has accused the BJP of copying the drive from him. TMC general secretary Kunal Ghosh said, “They are copying, but let me tell you, people don’t believe them anyway.”
