Top BJP leaders – Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, his immediate predecessor BS Yeddyurappa, BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh – will attend the meeting.

The Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka will brainstorm on the upcoming assembly elections during its special executive committee meeting in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Top BJP leaders – Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, his immediate predecessor BS Yeddyurappa, BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh, BJP national general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Arun Singh and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel – will attend the meeting.

A party insider told PTI that the meeting is mainly to chalk out the roadmap for the elections.

He said that the party leaders would deliberate on intensifying the membership drive, door-to-door campaign, public meetings, road shows and Jan Sankalp Yatra.

Top functionaries will also discuss the smooth conduct of the works which will be attended by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, according to him.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka; He said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

Information campaigns and countering negative propaganda by opposition parties will also be part of the discussion, he said.
