Anurag Thakur said that one should not worry about which partner will contest the election and who will be the candidate

Union minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday said that Eknath Shinde-led Balasahbanchi Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party will jointly contest the next Lok Sabha elections from Kalyan.

Thakur said that one should not worry about which partner would contest the elections and who would be the candidate. “One thing is certain that this time we will win the elections with a huge margin,” he said.

Shrikant Shinde, son of chief minister Ekant Shinde, had won from the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 as an undivided Shiv Sena candidate.

This was Thakur’s second visit to Kalyan in the last six months where the BJP is trying to strengthen its organisation.

When it comes to Maharashtra, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi He said that he has given a lot for the development of the state with open heart.

When asked about the opposition’s claim that the present government will fall any time, Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Minister for Youth Affairs and Play Portfolio, said he would only find disappointment. “We (the government) will not fall, but will win (in the next elections) with a huge margin,” he said.

To a question about the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader calling Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the BJP leadership ‘ajube’ (miracles), Thakur said one should not pay much attention to the remarks he made. He said, ‘Let them first tell about the fraud committed by them and then comment on us.’

In the context of some demands that members of minority communities should be given preference in the Army, he said that candidates are selected on the basis of their ability and performance in the field of sports or military and not on the basis of caste, creed or religion .

The minister said that he would visit more assembly constituencies to strengthen the organisation. “The party has realized that it survives and grows only on the contribution of its workers,” he said.
