BJP Says Kejriwal ‘Patronising Corrupt’, Wraps Up MCD Poll Campaign with ‘Vijay Sankalp’ Roadshows

The BJP on Friday accused AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal of “patronising rioters and corrupt” as top party leaders concluded campaigning on the last day of the civic polls with over 250 ‘victory resolutions’ across the city. Road shows done.

During the 13-day run, the BJP organized over 1,000 roadshows, street meetings, door-to-door campaigns with top party leaders including national president JP Nadda, senior Union ministers and chief ministers of party-ruled states.

19 Union Ministers, six State Chief Ministers, two Deputy Chief Ministers and 31 Members of Parliament participated in the campaign.

While campaigning in the wards of Patel Nagar, Nayana, Mangolpuri and Ranjit Nagar, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, “(Delhi Chief Minister Arvind) Kejriwal came to power talking about politics of change. Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri said the Modi government was committed to providing good quality flats to the city’s slum dwellers, while Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya campaigned in various wards and appealed people to vote for the BJP.

BJP Delhi unit spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said the party has organized 1,024 programmes, including 241 ‘Vijay Sankalp’ roadshows with senior leaders, 574 public meetings and 209 public relations campaigns.

He said that during the election campaign at the ward level, more than 2,000 meetings were held with members of various sections, including women, residents’ welfare associations and traders.
