Hospice: BJP shock on tuesday Himachal Pradesh After the vice president of your state unit Kripal Parmar Resigned from his post.
He posted his resignation letter addressed to the state president of the party. Suresh Kashyap On Facebook.
“I, Kripal Parmar, vice-president, Himachal BJPI am sending my resignation from party post. Please accept it. I will explain the reason for this in separate letters,” the letter said.
Parmar said that for the last four years he is being continuously ignored in the BJP and he cannot tolerate it anymore. He said that he is a true worker of the party and will continue to work for it.
The letter came ahead of the BJP’s state working committee meeting.
In the recently held by-elections in Himachal Pradesh, the party had fielded Baldev Thakur Parmar’s place in Fatehpur assembly seat Kangra District. He did not contest as an independent after Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur persuaded him, but he stayed away from campaigning.
Thakur lost to Congress’s Bhawani Singh Pathania by over 5,000 votes.
Parmar said that even when he was not given ticket from Fatehpur seat, he kept quiet.
He said that he was humiliated in some way or the other and insisted that he cannot bear the humiliation any more, which is why he is resigning from the post.
Parmar is considered very close to former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal. Parmar was a Rajya Sabha member from 2002 to 2006 and is considered one of the tallest BJP leaders from Kangra. He has also served as the Vice-Chairman of the State Transport Corporation.
The BJP and the Chief Minister are yet to respond to his resignation.
