New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) on Sunday slammed the Trinamool Congress and stated that the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s silence over the arrest of the state`s Commerce and Industries Minister and shut confidante Partha Chatterjee is an admission of corruption dedicated by the latter. Chatterjee was arrested on Saturday by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in reference to the recruitment irregularities in West Bengal Faculty Service Fee when he was the state Schooling Minister.
West Bengal BJP Co-incharge Amit Malviya tweeted: “Nothing else explains Mamata Banerjee`s silence on Partha Chatterjee, her shut confidant, now in jail, besides an admission of the crime, when she had hit the highway to defend a police officer! Mamata could also be attempting to distance herself from Partha, however their affiliation is well-known.”
Hitting out on the West Bengal Chief Minister, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Saturday stated: “In a well-planned conspiracy, Mamata Banerjee is attempting to focus on the central regulation enforcement companies and its senior officers and spreading lies in order that her political and monetary crimes stay beneath the carpet and will not be made public. It’s a ploy to hush up instances of large corruption and rip-off of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress authorities.”
Referring to ED seizures constituted of Chatterjee`s shut affiliate, Chandrasekhar added: “Satirically until a number of days in the past West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee used to reward her Minister Partha Chatterjee and his associates for his or her `good work`, now all the world is aware of what sort of work they had been doing.
