At Kannada Chalisgaon Ghat in Aurangabad district, complaints of recovery from trucks coming from outside the traffic police were being received. The news of this also reached the BJP MLA Mangesh Chavan here. To find out the truth, the MLA made the driver’s appearance and left with the truck. Mangesh reached the checkpost of Chalisgaon Ghat with a truck. Sting operation of policemen asking for bribe was done here. Due to his sting, every layer of black money of the traffic police was exposed.
This is how the recovery racket busted
In the video of the sting that has surfaced, MLA Mangesh Chavan first talks to some drivers. These drivers tell them how 500 to 2000 rupees are demanded for each truck to go ahead. He then masquerades as a driver with some of his companions in a truck and reaches the post.
The MLA kept his face covered the whole time while driving the truck.
There the trucks stop at the behest of a traffic constable. He demands 500 rupees from the MLA. Mangesh asks him to take 300 instead of 500. For some time both of them argue. After this another constable reaches there. He abuses the MLA. After this, the MLAs get down from the truck and make it run.
investigation started in the case
On getting information about the matter, a team of Aurangabad Police reached the spot and started investigation. At present, all the accused traffic constables have been removed on duty. A departmental inquiry has been ordered against him.
After this disclosure of Mangesh Chavan, now Jalna Police has started investigation in this matter.
MLA said – Will expose such people even further
Mangesh Chavan told that he was getting information that 500 to 2000 rupees are being recovered from all the trucks going towards Chalisgaon Ghat via Aurangabad. After this we have done this sting to nab the accused. This proves how the game of recovery is going on in this government. Every day there is a long jam here for their recovery. Sometimes ambulances are stuck in this jam. We have our eyes on these people playing with people and will continue to expose them in the coming times.
After this sting, now all the staff here have been changed.
