BJP is busy preparing the ground for the Lok Sabha elections. The National Executive meeting is to be held in Hyderabad on 2nd and 3rd July. It is believed that this is a preparation for South Fateh. This meeting, to be held in the stronghold of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and Muslim leader Asaduddin Owaisi, is considered very important. Actually, there are more than 100 Lok Sabha seats in 5 states of the South. BJP has its eyes on these only.

BJP’s focus is on expanding in South India. The meeting to be held in Hyderabad will be attended by all the veterans of BJP including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The last meeting of the BJP’s national executive was held in New Delhi in November 2021, just before the elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP started 2022 with a landslide victory.

Preparing to surround TRS
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had criticized the dynasty politics of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) during a public meeting in Telangana. Before the PM, JP Nadda and Amit Shah also came on the tour. He also targeted the rule of the KCR family, saying that Telangana is looking for a change and can give a chance to the BJP.

strategy before assembly elections
There are assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in 2023-24. Earlier, through the meeting of the National Executive, BJP seems to be making a strategy to hit two targets with one arrow. Not only this, there will also be a discussion regarding the elections of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

On the Telangana tour, Home Minister Amit Shah had surrounded the KCR government, accusing it of dynasty.

Focus on Nationalism in the South
With Hyderabad being Owaisi’s stronghold, the BJP has already indicated its focus on nationalism. On May 24, on his last visit to Telangana, Home Minister Amit Shah spoke of nationalism. Shah had said that he would not allow Telangana to become Bengal. BJP can get benefit from Owaisi’s counter by taking up the issue of nationalism.
