Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said the ongoing metro and smart city related projects have given a new identity to Agra, which he said was “one of the dirtiest cities in the country till 2017”.
The Chief Minister was speaking during a rally ‘Prabhudhjan’ at Targhar Maidan during which he laid foundation stones of several initiatives and inaugurated 88 projects worth Rs 488 crore.

Highlighting the Agra Metro project, the Chief Minister said that the work was being done at a fast pace and the facility would be thrown open to the public next year.
He credited the BJP’s “double engine government” for the transformation of Agra, which he said was “one of the dirtiest cities in the country till 2017” into a “clean, safe and smart” city.
Earlier, he campaigned for Raghuraj Singh Shakya, the BJP candidate for the upcoming parliamentary by-election in Mainpuri.
