BJP apologizes to Nitin Raut over pending funds for welfare schemes. Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: Continuing its attack on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government for “failure” to release the dues of thousands of beneficiaries of various social welfare schemes, the BJP city unit blamed it on the guardian minister. Nitin Raut and apologized to him. The schemes include Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and Shravan Bal Yojana.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, BJP city president Pravin Datke He said that the minister should make immediate efforts to release the amount to the victims who were compelled to celebrate Kali Deepawali due to the apathy of the government.
Datke said that the minister should ensure that the dues of all the beneficiaries are released within a week. He threatened that the BJP would once again take to the streets “to protest the injustice meted out to the beneficiaries”.
Along with other party leaders and MLAs including Krishna Khopde, Girish Vyas, Vikas Kumbhare, the BJP MLC informed that Raut convened a meeting of the concerned office bearers in the collectorate regarding the pending dues of both the schemes and asked them to release the dues before October. instructed. 30.
“The minister’s statement was published across the media and circulated on various social media platforms. However, he was never serious about solving the problems of over 30,000 beneficiaries, who were waiting for their dues for the past few years.
Terming Raut’s call to government officials as a farce, Datke assured the underprivileged beneficiaries that “the saffron party will stand by them till their demands are met”.
The BJP city chief said the minister had asked the beneficiaries of the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana to apply again after the authorities under the jurisdiction of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) stopped their dues. “This shows that he had no idea about the plan,” Datke said.
Datke alleged that on one hand the government did not pay the money to the actual beneficiaries of both the schemes citing false reasons and on the other hand, benefits were provided to many ineligible persons. “We want that ineligible persons should not get undue benefits while genuine people should not be denied the scheme.”
He said senior citizens, widows, disabled, third gender persons and others were asked to move away from each other to re-collect documents like domicile required for fresh application. The BJP city chief said, “We have been pursuing the issue with former collector Ravindra Thackeray and his successor R Vimala for the past few years.”
