BJP Afraid Of Facing People, Doesn’t Want Assembly Elections In J&K: Omar Abdullah

SRINAGAR: National Conference (NC) Vice President and former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah has said that BJP does not want assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir due to fear of defeat. The NC leader further said that he does not see assembly elections in the union territory anytime soon.

Omar said, “BJP is not ready for the assembly elections because they know they are going to lose the elections. They do not have the guts to face the people and at the same time we will not beg for elections.” Journalist in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Asked why elections to the J&K Assembly are not being held, Abdullah said, “It is clear that the Center has not given the go-ahead to the Election Commission for elections in J&K because the BJP does not want elections here.” Is.”

Omar also alleged that the Election Commission has not taken any decision in recent years without consulting the central government.

Omar Abdullah further said that the in-charge of the state elections has clearly stated that preparations are underway for Panchayat, Parliament and ULB elections. Responding to another question, the NC vice-president said that elections will not be held in Jammu and Kashmir even if people come out on the streets.
