Binance restores Dogecoin withdrawals on exchange after Elon Musk’s Twitter spat

The cryptocurrency exchange was facing criticism dogecoin Holder on technical issues related to DOGE withdrawals on the platform. Withdrawals were halted due to a dispute for DOGE holders on Binance a few weeks ago Elon Musk on Twitter. The company announced in a blog post that Binance has resumed DOGE withdrawals, adding that Dogecoin core maintainers encountered issues during the DOGE wallet upgrade. Binance has also announced the update of Dogecoin Wallet to version 1.14.

Binance said that DOGE withdrawals are open again after a two-week pause due to database issues following the network upgrade. The company said that a direct upgrade resulted in a problem where Binance users were unable to withdraw DOGE for the past 17 days. Binance also revealed that 1,634 users received old transactions during the update of Dogecoin’s wallet to the new version, and that a series of incidental factors caused unforeseen problems. Binance was the only exchange that faced this issue.

East, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took a dig at Binance, expressing concern over the withdrawal limits on Binance. “Hey @cz_binance, what’s up with your Doggy customers?,” tweeted Musk after the cryptocurrency exchange limited withdrawals of the meme-based digital currency Dogecoin. Binance previously stated that the wallet upgrade issue was impossible and unfortunate and that users assured that the company is working to ensure safe and secure crypto transactions.
