Bills being deducted in the name of the deceased in the hospital, the administration assured the investigation

The patient had died long ago. But the bill is being raised by showing that regular dialysis has been done in the name of the deceased. It felt like the allegation on the dialysis department of Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital. Its complaint has reached the District Health Department. The Health Department has assured to take necessary steps by forming a committee.

A dialysis unit is being run in Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital in collaboration with a private company. The unit is operated by the private company Barackpore Medicare and Recovery Center Ltd. Money was withdrawn from the state treasury every month in the name of the person who died a year ago. Such sensational allegations came to the notice of the Health Department officials. It has been learned that Dal Bahadur Vishwakarma, a resident of Subhash Unnayan Palli of Jalpaiguri, died on June 23 last year. Vishwakarma was a police officer. He passed away last year due to kidney problem. This information is correct, it was understood in the words of Prabhat Vishwakarma, son of Dal Bahadur. Prabhat Vishwakarma said, ‘Father passed away in June last year. Till his death, he used to do dialysis in the dialysis unit of the hospital. But the health officials raised eyebrows when an information came to the fore. On 5th April this year, the team did dialysis of Bahadur Bishwakarma. It is shown in pen in the book. The question is, how can a dead person get dialysis? That good answer doesn’t match.

In this context, Safikul Rehman said, ‘The government may have given various facilities, but the government is taking different types of money by wearing a cap. Technicians are not good here. There is nothing wrong with the timetable. Four hours of dialysis. They are leaving there on dialysis for three-and-a-half hours. I came to know about the matter through you. I will form an inquiry committee. It would not be right to comment on this now.
