Last week, the Bihar cabinet passed an order to recruit 1.78 lakh new teachers for schools from primary to intermediate in the state.
There is good news for those who want to become a teacher in government schools. The Bihar cabinet announced last week that they will soon recruit 1.78 lakh new teachers in the state for schools from primary to intermediate. This recruitment will be done under Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Notification related to this is going to be published soon. As per the report of Free Press Journal the vacancies for teachers in different categories are as follows
Class 1 to 5: 85,477
Class 6 to 8: 1,745
Class 9 to 10: 33,186
Class 11 to 12: 57,618
As per media reports, the following qualifications are required for class 11th and 12th:
Candidates should have Level A certification from DOEACC (Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Class) in computer subject with at least 50% marks. Along with this, the requirements are Post-graduation degree with minimum 50% marks in relevant subject and B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree or Post-graduation degree with minimum 45% marks and B.Ed. Ed Degree, B.Sc.Ed (Bachelor of Science Education) Degree, or Post-Graduation Degree with 55% Marks and Three Year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed (Bachelor of Education and Master of Education) Degree.
Candidates can also have Post Graduate Degree in any discipline or BE/B.Tech. Tech (Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology) degree in Computer Science or IT, or BE/ B.Tech degree with PG Diploma in Computer or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, MCA (Master in Computer Science) degree, or any other relevant qualification.
Eligibility for a High School Teacher
To become a teacher in high school i.e. class 9 and 10, one must have at least 50% marks in graduation and B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) in the concerned subject. Candidates must have graduation with at least 50% marks in physical education subject or at least 45% marks in graduation with physical education as an elective subject. They should have participated in National, State or Inter-University sports competitions.
Eligibility for Class 1 to 5
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.LD . (Bachelor of Elementary Education), Senior Secondary with 50% marks for Basic Category Cadre, D.El.Ed (Six Months Teaching Training in Various Disability Areas).
Eligibility for Class 6 to 8
For this, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject and two years Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) or Graduation with 45% marks and One year B. .Ed. Or else a Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4 years BA- B.Sc.Ed.-B.Ed.-B.Sc.Ed. Candidates must have Graduation with at least 50% marks and one year B.Ed. Could be too. OR Post Graduation with 55% marks and 3 years B.Ed.-M.Ed.
