During his meeting with Goyal at Udyog Bhawan in Delhi, Hussain also demanded the creation of two textile parks in Bihar.
Hussain said in the meeting that at least 1,000 acres of land is required under the Mega Textile Park scheme of the Government of India. However, for an agrarian state like Bihar, it would be difficult to arrange 1,000 acres of land at one place. He said that the Bihar government has two plots of 200 acres each for textile parks and if the Center accepts Bihar’s demand, two textile parks can be developed in the state immediately.
After meeting Goyal, Hussain told TOI over phone that the meeting was very fruitful. He said that the demand for two textile parks of 200 acres each for Bihar has received positive response from the Union Minister.
“For ethanol units, the Center had come out with an interest subvention scheme to set up ethanol plants across India for which applications were accepted for a period of 30 days starting January 14, 2021. Although, Ethanol Production Promotion Policy The Government of Bihar government was started in March, 2021. It is important to note that the eligibility for financing SOPs initiated by banks was limited to those units which were approved under the scheme dated January 14, 2021. Thus, in most of the proposed ethanol projects, the people of Bihar are not able to get the benefits under the interest subvention scheme of the Center nor are they able to get the benefits under the financing of the SOPs of the banks,” the Bihar minister told Goyal.
