Patna: Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar On Monday, his government will launch a massive vaccination campaign against Kovid-19 on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.

The Chief Minister was answering media queries after his weekly “Janta Ke Darbar Mein Chief Minister” program held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here.
Nitish’s statement was told by BJP national president JP Nadda to reporters in Delhi that on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, saffron party workers at the booth level would help people get vaccinated against Kovid-19, in order to achieve the highest goal. “Our workers will contribute to the vaccination programme. We will make a detailed plan for September 17,” Nadda had said on Friday.
Responding to a query regarding the increase in cases of viral fever and dengue among children, the Chief Minister said that he had held a review meeting two days back with the Health Department officials on these issues.
“The health department has sent its teams to different districts. No case of dengue has been reported in Siwan district. Nine cases of dengue have been reported from Gopalganj district, while one from Saran. Whatever action is required is being taken by the health department,” Nitish said, adding that tests to detect dengue cases were also conducted in Patna district.
Along with State Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, the CM further said that all necessary work is being done to protect the people from COVID-19 infection. “I held a review meeting with the health department on the cases of viral fever in children and all necessary instructions have been given to the health officials. Right now, the situation is under control,” Nitish said.
The health department is fully alert regarding the cases of viral fever in children. All the necessary items for the treatment of viral fever are available in the hospitals. There is no dearth of beds, medicines and doctors in hospitals.”
Nitish also said that apart from the health department, the concerned district administration has also been put on alert so that immediate treatment can be made in case of new cases of dengue or viral fever.
