Patna: Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar On Monday, some people involved in the illegal trade of spurious liquor are not only being caught and sent to jail, but also losing their government jobs and getting punishment from various courts.

Asked why around 70 people died in Bihar from drinking spurious liquor from January to October this year, despite the imposition of total probation, Nitish said, “Such incidents (hooch deaths) are happening because people from the state government Despite this, indulge in drinking the wrong things. Serious and repeated warnings that alcohol is a very bad thing.
Nitish further said that complete prohibition was implemented from 2016 on the demand of women in the state. Both houses of the state legislature unanimously passed a law relating to complete prohibition. The CM said, ‘I will once again call upon the people that alcohol is a dirty thing, do not consume it.
However, Nitish refrained from giving a direct answer to a question on inflation due to the steady rise in the prices of petroleum products like diesel, petrol and LPG. “The matter is not only related to Bihar, but it is a nationwide phenomenon. Diesel and petrol prices are increasing or decreasing across the country. This is not a special issue of Bihar.
Earlier, the Chief Minister listened to the complaints of a total of 187 people who reached the ‘Janata Darbar’ program from different districts. After hearing the complaints of the complainants, Nitish asked the concerned officials to look into the issue and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
